Guide dogs for the blind are not something new. They have been in service for decades since their first introduction to German World War I veterans. With more than 80 guide dog schools around the world as of 2014, more and more dogs are being trained to help the blind. This has transformed the lives of many blind people, empowering them to lead ordinary lives independently, just like you and me.
